Traumatology: Diagnosis and treatment of all kinds of traumatic injuries of the musculoskeletal system that require immediate or delayed intervention, falls, impacts, fractures (forearm, foot and ankle, arm fractures, knee circumference fractures), dislocations, and conditions that require soft tissue repair are in our department within the scope of traumatology.

Arthroscopic procedures: Meniscus repair or resection, ligament repairs, removal of intra -joint parts and relaxation surgeries are performed by arthroscopy (closed surgery) method.

Arthroscopy: Arthroscopic treatment is used in the diagnosis and treatment of joint diseases. Menuscopic tears and cartilage lesions are often treated with the arthroscopic method applied to the knee joint. This treatment is performed by entering the joint with an arthroscopy device from 2-3 0.5 cm cut under general, local or spinal anesthesia. The highest arthroscopy joints are knee, shoulder, wrist, elbow, ankle and hip joints, respectively.

Today, arthroscopy is mostly applied in the knee joint. It is useful to know the anatomy of the knee joint. On the knee joint, the femur (thigh) bone, the tibia (kaval) bone, in front of the patella (mirror) bone. In the knee joint cavity, there are cartilage structures on the right and left in the form of a half -moon, which allows both surfaces to be more compatible with each other. These are called meniscus.

There are also 4 main bonds that support the knee joint. These;

  • Anterior cruciate ligament,
  • Rear cross bond,
  • Inner side bond,
  • Outer side bond.

As a result of injuries, the most common anterior cruciate ligament vineyards are damaged. The scissors coming to the knee joint cause damage to this bond.
